Thieves Abandon Stolen Vehicle And Flee After Sighting Police Team

On 30/01/2018, the Bauchi state police Command received a report from Katsina State Police Command that on the same day one Engr. Adamu Yusuf reported at Rimi Police Station, Katsina State that unknown person(s)
stole his motor vehicle HONDA CIVIC 2001 model, green in colour with Reg. No: GNM-277-AA and Chassis No: 2HGJ6672XH581857 while parked.
RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE
On receipt of the report all Stations and Patrol Teams of the Command were alerted for possible interception and recovery of the said vehicle.
The action taken by the Command yielded a positive result as on 01/02/2018 operatives attached to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) Bauchi intercepted the said stolen vehicle at Kofar Idi Area of Bauchi Metropolis,
on sighting the Police Team the occupants left the vehicle and escaped.
However the vehicle was recovered and will soon be handed over to the Katsina State Police Command for proper handing over to the owner, meanwhile efforts are on top gear to arrest the fleeing suspects.
